Quando si ama il Rock come lo amiamo noi non si può fare altro che dedicare la propria vita a venerare questa musica e questa attitudine… Fin dall'adolescenza ogni gesto e modo di fare è stato influenzato dai nostri idoli, che non erano calciatori o attori, ma musicisti. Amare il rock significa far parte di una grande famiglia, credere in qualcosa di diverso, comportarsi in una certa maniera…Insomma è difficile da spiegare, solo chi ne è parte ed è cresciuto con questi sentimenti può capire questa Attitudine; questa è la parola magica che non ci stancheremo mai di ripetere: Attitudine rock, o ce l'hai o non sai cos'è!!!

I Settevite sono una famiglia con attitudine Rock….
Nel lontano 1993 cinque amici decidono di formare una Band; non basta più ascoltare e venerare i propri idoli; il sogno più grande è di provare ad imitarli. In quei tempi nella formazione c'è Max (detto "il gattone") alla batteria che darà lo spunto per il nome della Band.
Dopo qualche tempo entrano nel gruppo Luca (chitarra), Valerio (batteria al posto di Max) e Lella che, insieme agli storici (in quanto sempre presenti) Jan e Ste formeranno il quintetto che anni dopo riuscirà a firmare il primo contratto.

Centinaia di prove in cantina, alcool a fiumi, concerti in località poco probabili (il più incredibile su un rimorchio di un camion) e concorsi per band emergenti: questi sono gli inizi…Tante risate ma anche sacrifici e pochissimi riconoscimenti...That's Rock and roll!!!

Nel '95 conosciamo Tommy Massara dei mitici Extrema, al quale piacciamo. Iniziamo a collaborare con lui.I risultati si vedono da subito con la prima versione di "Un buon giorno per morire", prodotta da Tommy stesso.
Ci offrono un contratto e dopo ore, giorni, mesi di duro lavoro (un culo tanto…) finalmente nel 1996 entriamo in studio di registrazione per la "prima creatura": Settevite (l'album si chiama come noi…); Tommy Massara e Fabrizio Simoncioni (uno dei tecnici del suono più preparati e attuale tastierista di Ligabue) alla produzione.

Aprile 1997: uscita ufficiale del primo album; da questo momento molte cose cambiano. Registriamo due videoclip: Il sole e Un buon giorno per morire con Francesco Fei (regista ormai famoso per numerosi video..), un terzo video viene prodotto con il materiale registrato dal vivo: Latte e Sangue.
Iniziamo a passare sulle Tv musicali e radio più importanti. Per noi è tutto un sogno.
Ci viene dato l'onore di aprire il concerto di Ligabue a S.Siro e chiudere quello degli U2 a Reggio Emilia.
Suoniamo al beach bum festival, al Metarock, a Milanosuona e apriamo per Carmen Consoli diversi concerti.
Partiamo per un tour tutto nostro in giro per l'Italia.

In quel periodo tutto era molto strano, passava tutto velocemente, un avvenimento dietro l'altro…Un sacco di prove in saletta, discussioni, tanto sudore, tante soddisfazioni!
E' dura fare Rock in Italia…Valerio e Luca decidono di mollare per motivi personali mentre si scrivono i pezzi per il nuovo album.
Li sostituiscono temporaneamente Tommy Massara e SuperMario Riso (batterista dei Movida e non solo!) i quali con la loro esperienza ci aiutano a sfornare il secondo Album che esce per la Extra Label (Virgin) nel 2000: Sottovuoto (Prodotto da Max Lepore)!!!

E' il turno di Tato (ex kaosLord) e Andrea, due nuovi amici, che entrano nel gruppo per completare la formazione!!! Grandi musicisti e ottimi amici, il feeling è subito grande si torna ad essere cinque!

3 Video anche dal secondo lavoro: Libera l'anima, Sottovuoto e Volo. Passaggi in tv, un singolo fatto con gli Extrema, critica che appoggia il lavoro e pubblico che si scalda dal vivo. Tour numero 2, poi gruppo spalla agli HIM e ai Guano Apes…Siamo sempre più vogliosi di spaccare. Ormai abbiamo sulle spalle più di 200 concerti, tanti applausi e qualche insulto: tutto ci sta nel Rock!!! Ma soprattutto cresce l'affiatamento con Tato e Andre!

2003- Si registra il terzo album, lavoro fatto diversamente dai precedenti. Diversi mesi di registrazione, più violenza nei suoni, canzoni in inglese: niente compromessi, ormai siamo noi stessi in tutto e per tutto. Casa discografica indipendente, spazio alla musica, immagine essenziale.

La nuova sfida si chiama The Freak Show!!!

When someone loves Rock as much as we do, the only thing left to do is to "venerate" this kind of music and its lifestyle. Since the teen-ager age everything has been influenced by our myths and idols that were not soccer players or actors, but musicians. To love Rock means being part of a big family, believing in something different, behaving in a specific way…. Well it's hard to express, only those who are part of it and have grown up with these feelings are able to understand this way of life. Attitude is the magic word that we'll always repeat: rock attitude…you have it… or you don't even know what it is!!!!

Settevite is a family with Rock Attitude…
In 1993 we're five friends that one day decide to start a band. Listening to our favourite artist it's not enough anymore, our biggest dream is to try to "be" like them… at that time there was Max (also known as "il gattone") at the drums. He will give the hint to find the name of the band.
After some time it's Luca (guitar), Valerio (new drums) and Lella turn to become part of the band. Together with Ste and Jan we are ready to start our adventure!

The beginning it's not that easy but it's one of the happiest part of our lives: rehearsals, alcohols and gigs… sacrifices seem to be insignificant when you're having good time with your friends!

In 1995 we meet Tommy Massara (Extrema guitar player); he listens to some of our songs and seems to appreciate them. We start working together at the first version of "Un buon giorno per morire", produced by Tommy Massara.
In 1996 we record our first album: "Settevite", produced once again by Tommy Massara together with Fabrizio Simoncioni (Ligabue's keyboard player).

In 1997: the record is out… from now on things get better and better!! We release two video clips: "Il Sole" and "Un buon giorno per morire" directed by Francesco Fei and a third video made of live concert material: "Latte e Sangue".
The music channels start to broadcast the videos and the radio network as well.
We are given the honour to open Ligabue's concert in San Siro Stadium and to close U2 show in Reggio Emilia.
We play live for some of the biggest festivals in Italy such as Beach Bum, Metarock and Milanosuona; we support some of Carmen Consoli shows and then we leave for a Tour of our own around Italy.

Thinking about that time of our lives, we can admit that everything seemed strange, unreal and things were happening very fast!!!
It's hard to play Rock in Italy… Valerio and Luca decide to quit for personal reasons, while the band is writing the songs for the new album.
Temporarily substituted by our eternal friends Tommy Massara and Mario Riso (Movida drum player… but not only…) we record "Sottovuoto" for Extra-label (Virgin), produced by Maks Lepore.
Tato Vastola (ex KaosLord) at the drums and Andrea Macchi at the guitar arrive to substitute Valerio and Luca and become soon part of the band… They're great musicians and very good friends… we're five again!!!

3 videos are shot from the second record: "Libera l'anima", "Sottovuoto" and "Volo". Tv Shows, a cd single recorded together with Extrema (the leading Italian metal band), the journalists seem to appreciate all the things we are doing… and the fans are hotter than ever under the stage!!! Then we start our Tour #2, we support Him and Guano Apes….
We love this kind of life!!! It's what we've always wanted to do!!!! But most of all we're happy that the friendship with Tato and Andrea grows every day and gets better and better…

2003 - We're ready to record our third album… this time we have no rush: it takes more than nine months to finish it, but we want to make sure that our new song writing style (in English) and the sounds (stronger than the previous works) will perfectly fit our musical growth: no compromises!!!
We sign for an independent label, more music and less image!!!

Our new challenge is called "The Freak Show"!!!
